GS IMPROV

Improvisation Classes

Greg  Instructor Greg Sullivan...

... began teaching improv in 1997 in Old Bridge, NJ. He began his GS IMPROV classes in New York City in September of that year. A week prior to their scheduled start he was called to substitute at the great HB Studio in New York, and so that became the first NYC venue he taught in. He continues to teach his GS IMPROV classes and also substitute at HB Studio. In 2010, Greg will also teach for the Westchester Community College program besides his NYC classes.

In 1998, Greg started the improv troupe KLAATU, which has presented dozens of talented performers over the years. The troupe received favorable reviews in Time Out New York and Back Stage.

Greg studied at HB Studio (including Austin Pendleton, John Monteith, Rasa Kazlas, Anne Jackson, Salem Ludwig, Sam Groom, Michael Beckett), Chicago City Limits and the Rockland Center for the Arts (with Ginny Borton). He performed with The Regis Dramatic Society, The Holy Cross ACT, The Biloxi Little Theater, The Griffiss Players, The Rome Community Theater and The Forthill Players of Yonkers. Among roles played onstage by Greg, his favorites are his improv performances with KLAATU, Mortimer in Arsenic and Old Lace, Trotter in The Mousetrap, Alex in Rehearsal for Murder and Sidney in Romantic Comedy.

Greg is a former US Air Force Captain and lives in Westchester County, NY with his wife and daughter.
